Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

It’s the time of year when the beauty counters are overflowing with fragrance picks. New launches, new gift sets, limited edition collections… it can all get a bit too much! After going through my own perfume collection, I realised that there was a little treasure I added and forgot to share with you, Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever.

This post isn’t exactly timely, with the fragrance launched back in July, however, I do think I prefer how this fragrance feels in the hot summer weather.

Top Notes of Blackberry, Grapefruit and Pear mingle with Jasmine, Lychee and Blue Wisteria, which add to the sweetness of this scent. Base notes of White Woods, Musk and Coconut Water give a velvety appeal on dry down. It is a deeper, more concentrated Eau De Parfum version of 2014’s Daisy Dream.

I love the sophisticated strength sweetness of this scent, perfect for any lover of fruity perfumes and a great addition to my Marc Jacobs perfume collection.

Purchase this fragrance at Myer or David Jones.

There’s a new beauty box coming to town..

I was scrolling through beautydirectory the other night and came across a new venture seeing Harper’s BAZAAR, CLEO, COSMOPOLITAN, Dolly, and ELLE team up. What are these magazines teaming up to do? Launch a new beauty box – THE EDIT.
The article in Beauty Directory stated “Created in partnership between Bauer Media and Chicane Marketing, THE EDIT sample boxes will feature a selection of on-trend products hand-picked each quarter to reflect the essence of each magazine”. So I’m thinking we should be expecting something similar to Pacific Magazine’s THE PARCEL, launched in September 2014. THE PARCEL saw Marie Claire be the first fashion magazine to enter this arena, followed by their sister publication, Girlfirend Magazine.
So far THE PARCEL has been one of my favourite beauty boxes, with their quarterly offerings packed with high-end brands with a number of full size products (I’ve seen great value from every box released so far). I’ll be keeping my eye out for more news on THE EDIT and keen to sign up once more details are released.
Are you excited to find out more about THE EDIT? Or do you think we have enough sample boxes in the market as it is? Let me know in the comments.

Luxcurly Auto-Rotating Curling Iron

I love having curls in my hair, it adds fullness and a bit of glam to any look! I spend half of my time trying to keep my unnatural (and extremely high maintenance) red locks the right colour, and tend to lack a bit in the styling department. Luxcurly has seen me up my game significantly! I currently have two other traditional curling irons (and a straightener) that have been banished to the bottom of my bathroom cupboard to make way for this auto rotating curling iron – the easiest I have every used. The pictured curling iron is the “lux natural” iron, with a wider barrel than the original. It has temperature control, and the greatest feature – directional buttons – that spin the barrel for you to stop you having to contort your arm awkwardly as you curl. Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner? Simply clip in a section of hair and the buttons do all the work, spinning it evenly, while the tourmaline ceramic barrel ensures fast and even heat to your strands. It is super easy to get used to using and is a great purchase if you’ve tried and given up on traditional curling irons. With a bit of hair spray my curls set and last all day – and I ever have great “day after” curls!

I have been using mine for the past three months and am obsessed! I have long, thick hair and this makes curling my hair so much less of a chore.

You can purchase Luxcurly online and they retail for $119.00.
