Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

It’s the time of year when the beauty counters are overflowing with fragrance picks. New launches, new gift sets, limited edition collections… it can all get a bit too much! After going through my own perfume collection, I realised that there was a little treasure I added and forgot to share with you, Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever.

This post isn’t exactly timely, with the fragrance launched back in July, however, I do think I prefer how this fragrance feels in the hot summer weather.

Top Notes of Blackberry, Grapefruit and Pear mingle with Jasmine, Lychee and Blue Wisteria, which add to the sweetness of this scent. Base notes of White Woods, Musk and Coconut Water give a velvety appeal on dry down. It is a deeper, more concentrated Eau De Parfum version of 2014’s Daisy Dream.

I love the sophisticated strength sweetness of this scent, perfect for any lover of fruity perfumes and a great addition to my Marc Jacobs perfume collection.

Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez Perfume

Narciso

A new scent from Narciso Rodriguez, Narciso takes a different direction than the infamous For Her perfume. While still retaining similar musky tones as the original, the new Narciso perfume is characterised by its woody undertones. What they say;

A sophisticated statement, and an irresistible invitation. Rose and gardenia lend a feminine grace to vetiver and black and white cedars. At the core, notes of musc offer undeniable warmth and sensuality.

I certainly agree about the scent being sophisticated, the musk intertwined with notes of gardenia go towards its softness and smells very refined. A lot of musky perfumes can smell dated – but I would describe this perfume as a classic. It is creamy and wears long and beautifully. It isn’t too strong, but you will be able to smell it throughout the day as it wears down and the woodiness becomes more apparent.

A perfect scent for autumn and winter, Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez is an instant favourite of mine.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

I have more Marc Jacobs fragrances in my collection than I care to say, but that didn’t stop me from adding the latest; Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

If I had to describe Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream in three words they would be light, fresh & sweet. While the bottle is beautifully covered in Daisies, it isn’t the floral notes, but the fruity ones that really stand out in this fragrance.

Top notes of the fragrances are Blackberry, Grapefruit & Pear. With Blackberry one of the strongest notes I notice upon application. Middle notes include Wisteria, Jasmine and Lychee with base notes of White Wood, Musk and Coconut.

MJ DAISY DREAM PACKSHOT VISUAL

The only downside to this fragrance is that it doesn’t seem to have the longevity that some of the other Marc Jacobs scents have. It wears beautifully for a few hours but is not one to last all day.

This fragrance has been out for a while, but coming up to Christmas I’m sure you’ll be seeing this everywhere as it is a super sweet gift.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream comes in 30ml ($60.00), 50ml ($90.00) and 100ml ($120.00) and is available from David Jones, Myer and Selected Pharmacies.
