We all know that when you walk into a Lush store you are overcome by delicious smells! Lush has harnessed their ability to make deliciously scented products with their new range of Gorilla Perfumes.
A father and son team are the brains behind this range of perfumes. With a focus on the scent, rather than the bottle (although the packaging is still lovely) hence the catch phrase “Perfume is the point”.
All of the scents are inspired by memories, and each perfume tells a story. The story behind the Sikkim Girls scent is this:
“While hanging out in the oddly named ‘Hot Stimulating Café’ in Darjeeling, the café owner warned Sheema to stay away from the dangerous Sikkim Girls. When asked why, the owner said they had seduced and stolen away his son-in-law. Somehow they had accomplished this whilst covered head-to-toe and simply with a subtle yet sexual sway of their bodies.”
Sikkim girls is blend of frangipani, jasmine, vanilla and tuberose. It is a very powerful scent, with just a little on the wrist enough to enjoy the smell all day long. I find the white florals and vanilla scent overpower the frangipani a little bit – and it does seem to wear quite differently on different people but it is a very lovely and very unique scent. I’ve had comments almost every time i’ve worn it as it doesn’t smell like anything else out there!
You can purchase Gorilla perfumes from Lush stores or online here. The perfumes are very affordable with 7g retailing at $25, or $28g for $40.
